Infrastructures

The idea for the construction of the Great Ocean Walk was built in 1974., And was resumed in the early 1990s. Planning began in 1994 with the construction started in 2001 and finally completed in 2006 and opened. Park Victoria invested for the 91 km long section between Apollo Bay and Glenample AUD 2.3 million. The existing 25 km long road was set manually repaired. In the planning and construction of roads, great importance was placed on a lowest possible impact on nature. The steps were built with local and imported natural stone; this happened only in steep terrain and the installation and installation of stairs was low use of machinery to conserve nature. Stone bridges and a single wooden bridge were built to overcome water areas.

2009, a 10 km long road from Moonlight Head to the tourist center of the Twelve Apostles was created.
