Antillengrackel ( Quiscalus niger)

The Antillengrackel ( Quiscalus niger) is a bird belonging to the family of blackbirds ( Icteridae ).

It inhabits the vegetation on the coasts and near marshes in the Greater Antilles, such as Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, and the Cayman Islands.

The plumage of the Antillengrackel is uniformly black with bright yellow eyes. Like all Grackeln she has long legs with powerful claws, a long black powerful beak and a long fan-shaped keel -shaped tail. The females are smaller than males. They feed on berries, insects and other invertebrates.
