Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network

The Greater Mekong Subregion Academic and Research Network ( German as: higher education and research network of the extended Mekong subregion ), abbreviation GMSARN, is an association of universities and research institutions in the so-called Mekong sub-region around the river Mekong in Asia. The network today (December 2008) was formally founded on 26 January 2001. Eleven partner organizations come from the six countries bordering the Mekong.
