The Green River (English for "Green River " ) is the largest river in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

The source of the Green River is located approximately 7 miles south east of the main town of Waynesboro and then flows in a northeasterly direction there. Then he turns strongly meandering almost due north and then just south of the border to Perry County in the Buffalo River to flow.

It is used for water supply Waynesboros. Probably the eponymous greenish- blue color is observed particularly in the lower reaches.
