Greg Bahnsen

Greg Bahnsen ( born September 17, 1948 in Auburn, Washington; † 11 December 1995) was an American philosopher, author and theologian.

Life

Bahnsen grew up in Pico Rivera, California, on. Since his childhood, Bahnsen was suffering from the blood disease haemophilia. After leaving school, Bahnsen studied at Westmont College, where he graduated in philosophy in 1970. Then Bahnsen went to Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia, where he studied theology. 1973 graduated Bahnsen in Philadelphia. Bahnsen received the William Benton Greene Prize. Then Bahnsen moved to the University of Southern California (USC ), where he in particular the subject in-depth knowledge of theory in philosophy. Bahnsen wrote articles for the Chalcedon Foundation of Rousas John Rushdoony, which is the main institution in Christian Reconstructionism.

Bahnsen was ordained priest in 1975 the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in the United States. After the end of his studies and ordination Bahnsen got a job as a high school teacher of Apologetics and Ethics at Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi.

1969 married Bahnsen Cathie Wade. Bahnsen is the father of four children. In 1990, the marriage ended in divorce.
