Greg Berlanti

Greg Berlanti ( born May 24, 1972 in Rye, New York, USA) is an American film producer, screenwriter and film director.

Biography

Greg Berlanti grew up as the son of Italian immigrants in a residential area, which, as he described it later, was marked by White Anglo - Saxon Protestants. He graduated from Northwestern University in Illinois, where he studied theater.

After he had some pieces written for the theater, he began working in 1998 as a writer and producer on Dawson's Creek. In 2000 he stood for the first time as a director of the feature film The Broken Hearts Club behind the camera until he 2002 the television series Everwood created, he mitbetreute as executive producer, and was nominated in the four years of its existence for two Emmy Awards.

Also invented Berlanti 2002, the short-lived television series Jack & Bobby, which was again nominated for a Golden Globe Award. Since 2006, Berlanti produces the broadcast in German-speaking television series Brothers & Sisters.

Greg Berlanti is now open to his homosexuality, and since November 2013 allied with the U.S. Footballer Robbie Rogers.
