Gregor Deschwanden

Gregor Deschwanden (born 27 February 1991) is a Swiss ski jumper.

Career

Deschwanden announced on 9 September 2006 at a FIS race in Einsiedeln his international debut, finishing in 50 place. On 8 October 2006, he was also in Einsiedeln, his FIS Cup debut and missed than 32 the second passage just barely. Only a year later Deschwanden went back in the FIS Cup, again in Einsiedeln, at the start and took as his first 29 points in this series. On 27 December 2007 he was in Engelberg his debut in the Continental Cup, finishing in 43rd place. In the 2008 /09 season Deschwanden launched more frequently in the Continental Cup. His best result here was a 31st place in Brotterode. He also went this season with several Alpine Cup at the start, but could here never reach the second round. Also at the FIS Cup in Einsiedeln Deschwanden was there and was twice 24 The 2009/10 season began with a 19th place Deschwanden the FIS Cup in Villach. This season he started in the Continental times, sometimes in the FIS Cup and once in the Alps Cup. With the team of the Central Swiss ski federation he celebrated his third bronze medal in the team competition.

On 4 December 2011, Deschwanden could qualify for the first time a World Cup competition and finished 47th in Lillehammer, Norway. A year later he collected as 30 in Kuusamo his first World Cup point. In January 2013 he succeeded to the Okurayama -Hill in Sapporo his first Continental Cup victory. His previous best World Cup result he ersprang at November 24, 2013 in Klingenthal with the 10th Place.
