Gregorio López (writer)

Gregorio López y Fuentes (* November 17, 1897 in the Mexican state of Veracruz, † December 10, 1966 ) was a Mexican writer and journalist.

López y Fuentes was one of the chroniclers of the Mexican Revolution. He began writing at the age of 15 years, many of his books are about the revolution.

For his novel El Indio in 1935 he received the National Prize of Mexico. He also wrote the short story " A Letter to God ".

In later years he taught literature at a school in Mexico City. From 1921 he began - often under the pseudonym F. Tulio Peseenz - to write for the newspaper El Universal.
