Grenadier (Manga)
Grenadier (Japaneseグレネーダー, Gurenēdā ) is a manga series by Sōsuke Kaise, published from 2003 to 2005. The manga was translated into English and German, and adapted into a 12 - episode anime series.
Action
In feudal times the population of Japan is suffering the atrocities of civil war in the fight, the traditional Samurai and the Senshi warriors with modern firearms, merciless. Rushuna Tendo (天道 琉 朱 菜), a 16 -year-old, pretty girl, has been sent by her Empress on a journey to spread the "ultimate battle strategy " and put an end to the fighting. You should make people understand that you can break the opponent's will to fight alone with a smile, thereby avoiding bloodshed. Rushuna is a very talented Senshi, which they often must demonstrate on their journey. Here she meets the young samurai Yajiro Kojima (虎 岛 弥 次郎), which goes along with it.
While Rushuna and Yajiro are traveling, a rebellion takes place in the capital of the country, Tento unnoticed instead. The wise Empress Tenshi is replaced by a doppelganger, which is opposite to the previous ruler. She wants to restore order in the country by conquest and the use of the dreaded grenadiers. Publications
The manga was published from 2003 to 2005 in the manga magazine Shōnen Ace from the publisher Kadokawa Shoten. The individual chapters were published between July 1, 2003 to 26 May 2005, seven tankōbon.
Tokyopop brought the manga in English, and from 2006 to 2008 out in German. The translation is by Claudia Peter.
Anime adaptation
When produced by animation studio Group TAC and Studio Live Anime series Hiroshi Kōjina directed. The character design designed Hideki Inoue and the artistic director Yukio Abe took over. The series ran from 15 October 2004 until January 14, 2005 shortly after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) in the Japanese TV station WOWOW.
The anime was broadcast in English by Too Much For TV and in Spanish by Buzz Channel. A French translation was published by Wakanim.tv and Gong as a stream. In addition, the series has been translated into Russian, Chinese and Polish. A German version was published from July 2006 to October 2007 at Tokyopop on four DVDs.
Synchronization
Synchronization was made upon order by Tokyopop, from the dubbing studio TV synchronous in Berlin.
Music
The music of the series was composed by Yasunori Iwasaki. The biasing titles are Kohaku Shimokawa Mikuni and Akatsuki no Sora wo Kakeru by Hiromi Sato. Was used for the end credits Kanashimi ni Makenaide and Hana no Youni of the same artists.
Reception
The anime features, the AnimaniA writes to the German release of the series, " Samurai entertaining fare with ingredients comedy and action, spiced with a good dose of fan service " and a " freaky Mecha Design". The computer animations are used well in the fight scenes, the series would be apart from visually rather simple. The German synchronization was well occupied in the important roles.
