Grieg Hall

The Grieg Hall (Norwegian: Grieg Hall ) is a concert hall with 1,500 seats in Bergen. She is, since the building was completed in 1978, the sample and the concert hall of the Philharmonic Orchestra in Bergen. In it was 1986, the Euro Vision Song Contest held, also in winter annual Norwegian - Woodwind Cup is being held there. The hall is named after Bergen -born Edvard Grieg, who was from 1880 to 1882 musical director of the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra. The building was awarded the 1978 Norwegian Architecture Prize Betongtavlen.

Recording studio

The " Grieghallen Lydstudio " recording studio called the hall is very popular with musicians from the Norwegian Black Metal scene; several of the most important albums of Norwegian bands were added together with the local sound engineer, Pytten.
