Grigory Ginzburg

Grigory Romanovich Ginzburg (Russian Григорий Романович Гинзбург; * 16.jul / May 29 1904greg in Nizhny Novgorod, .. † December 5, 1961 in Moscow) was a Russian pianist.

Ginsburg studied at the Moscow Conservatory with Alexander Borisovich Gold Weiser and taught there from 1928 - 1959th He made several excellent pianists, including Gleb B. Axelrod and Alexander A. Nikolaev. Since 1922 he worked as a concert pianist. In 1927 he was winner of the Warsaw Chopin Competition.
