The Groote Beek, also Great Beek, is a watercourse on the island of Usedom. The creek starts east of the village Pudagla on Schmollensee and extends approximately 2.1 km in a north-westerly direction through a humid lowlands to the backwaters. A scrolled older maps south side arm was more or less in an east-west direction, no longer has access to the backwaters.

1273 was the time with the Slavic name Pritolniza designated stream together with the village Pudagla from the Pomeranian Duke Barnim I the monastery Rough given. In addition to the fishing rights permission to build a mill was granted.

Even in the 20th century, the Groote Beek was connected near its western mouth of the now silted Paschensee, which was referred to in earlier centuries as Paskensee. With the amelioration of lowland Grooten Beek was attracted to the green land reclamation and drainage ditches. To protect against storm floods on both sides of the water dikes were built.

Near Pudagla crosses the main road 111, the Groote Beek. A second crossing is located on the western estuary.
