Gross Aubrig

The majority Aubrig ( standard German equivalent Grosser Auberg ) is a 1,695 meter high mountain in the Swiss canton of Schwyz. He is the highest peak of over withdrawing from the Etzel mountain range in the Canton Schwyz pre-Alps. The majority Aubrig is on the municipal boundary between the front and Intra- Thal Thal. The northern side is dominated by rocks, while its southern slope is open in summer. Approximately two kilometers to the west is 1,642 meters high chli Aubrig (small Aubrig ).

Base and ascent

  • From the Sattelegg - pass ( 1,190 m) in two and a half hours in a light according to the literature (T1 or earlier B) hike over the Alp Wildegg ( 1,504 m) to the summit.
  • Over the north slope, only for experienced hikers (T2 to T3 or EB). From front valley ( 731 m) over the Alp Dorlaui ( 1,154 m), then steep meadows and rocks to the summit.
