Großer Homburg

The Great Homburg is 403 m above sea level. NN high mountain in the Homburg Forest, part of the Weser Uplands in Lower Saxony ( Germany ).

The Great Homburg is located in the district of Minden wood above or north of town Oldendorf and a few kilometers south of Eschershausen.

On the summit of the Great Homburg there is the ruin of Homburg, whose castle tower one can enjoy the view - for example in the south to the Solling in which rises the highest mountain in the Weser Uplands with the Great nakedness. On the western slope of the Great Homburg there are quarries, where for centuries gypsum is mined.

Below the mountain summit a Trigonometric point is 398 m above sea level. NN.
