SEB S. A. ( Société d' Emboutissage de Bourgogne translated "Burgundy sheet metal stamping company " ) is a listed manufacturer of small domestic appliances and cookware. History

The company was founded in 1857 by Antoine Lescure in Selongey, France, and later continued by the grandson and the great-grandson of Antoine Lescure. 1944 called it in Groupe S.E.B. ( Société d' Emboutissage de Bourgogne ) around. Since 1952 it is a corporation. In the household appliances market, it has been represented since 1962. Were added Bought Tefal (1968), Calor and Vogalu (1972 ) Rowenta (1988 ) and other companies. 2002 was added Moulinex / Krups, Lagostina 2005. 1976 moved the headquarters of Selongey after Écully (near Lyon).
