Gruberellidae

The Gruberellidae are a taxon of protists, which consists of two monotypic genera. They were counted as a separate group to the Heterolobosea, but later went on to Tetramitia.

Features

Gruberellidae are on ( Stachyamoeba ) or polynuclear ( Gruber Ella ) cells. They do not form fruiting bodies. During mitosis, the nucleolus disintegrate. Flagellated stages are missing, however, is an observation of such event that an indefinite, marine Stachyamoeba ago. Their determination, however, was doubted and can not be confirmed because the root was lost. The amoeba can have fine, translucent presser foot like cell processes.

Way of life

Gruber Ella is inhabiting marine, freshwater or terrestrial Stachyamoeba lives.

System

The Gruberellidae was the smallest of the three groups of Heterolobosea and includes only two ways:

  • Gruber Ella flavescens
  • Stachyamoeba lipophora

Your relationship is not confirmed by molecular genetic.

Later they took with their classifications be sister, the Vahlkampfiidae and Acrasidae, along to the group of Tetramitia.
