Gruppo Sportivo
Gruppo Sportivo is a Dutch band, founded in 1976, which came mainly in the late 1970s than earlier representatives of the New Wave to greater popularity.
In Germany, the band is best known for her temporarily strong presence at music festivals, a chart success was only the song Happily unemployed recorded from their 1982 album Modern Design. The same year she appeared in the WDR Rockpalast. In the USA and England, they had a moderate success with the song Beep Beep Love Album 10 Mistakes. After the first two LPs, 10 Mistakes and Back to '78 (the latter reaching number 3 in the Dutch charts ), ebbed success; there were but by 2006 more studio albums ( along with a series Compilations ) produced. Noteworthy are the often very ironic lyrics (about Tokyo on the album, Back to '78; Happily Unemployed and My song with anal, both on Modern Design ), accompanied by catchy pop music.
