Guadalcanal Diary (Band)

Guadalcanal Diary is an alternative rock band from Marietta (Georgia ). The band was founded in 1981 and dissolved in 1989. 1997, there was a reunion, new music, however, was not published. After a further separation in 2000, the band in 2011 appeared at a festival in Athens, Georgia, where the 30-year -anniversary was celebrated.

History

Members of the band are Murray Attaway (vocals and guitar), Jeff Wall (guitar), Rhett Crowe (bass) and John Poe on drums.

The band, who appeared in the classic team vocals, two guitars, bass and drums, from an economic point was not successful, but her work was reacted favorably by music critics. The album was recorded by 2X4 paste magazine among the top 80 albums of the 1980s.

Style

The band's music is classified in part, together with REM, Tom Petty and others in the drawer Jangle Pop.
