Guadalupe is a city in Santa Barbara County in the U.S. state of California, United States. The town has 7080 inhabitants ( 2010). Economically and socially Guadalupe is closely linked to the about 13 km to the east of Santa Maria.

The city was named after Our Lady of Guadalupe, the patron saint of Mexico.

Geography

Guadalupe is located in the extreme northwest of Santa Barbara County, south of the Santa Maria River. The urban area extends over 3.405 km ², of which 99.60 % land and 0.40 % water. The town consists of a close arrangement of buildings, surrounded by a mostly flat countryside. This is used primarily for agriculture and oil production.
