Guanqiu Jian

Guanqiu Jian (Chinese毋 丘 俭, Pinyin Guanqiu jiǎn ), style name Zhonggong (Chinese仲 恭, Pinyin Zhonggong; † 255), was a Chinese general of the Wei dynasty and for his campaigns against Gongsun Yuan and Goguryeo known.

The Wei Emperor Cao Rui was well disposed towards him. He sent him 237 in the Liaodong commandery to defeat the local warlord Gongsun Yuan, but he was stopped by a flood. The next year he and Sima Yi with the campaign's success, what Guanqiu Jian received the title of Marquis of Anyi (安邑 候) had.

244 led Guanqiu Jian the second punitive expedition after Goguryeo. He defeated the Goguryeo army under the leadership of King Gong (宫) on Tongjia River and took their capital Wandu. During the third campaign in the next year he conquered the capital again and forced the king to flee to the southeast. A division of the army reached the east coast of the peninsula, another reached northern Manchuria. To commemorate the conquest a stone relief during the campaign was set up. Part of it was discovered in 1905. Today it is " engraved monument to Guanqiu Jian, services " called (毋 丘 俭 纪 功 碑).

Guanqiu Jian was in revolt against Sima Shi, the regent of Cao Fang, defeated and killed. Some Scholars loads keep this fact for a consequence of his loyalty to the Cao family, others do it as a mere revolt from.
