Guaporé River

The Guaporé is a right tributary of the Río Mamoré in Brazil near the border with Bolivia. His Bolivian name is Rio Iténez.

River

The river rises as Guaporé in the Brazilian Mato Grosso about 150 km northeast of Pontes e Lucerda. The Guaporé flows below the town another 120 kilometers to the west and then combined at Vila Bela da Trindade Santíssima with the Rio Alegre. It flows 180 km further to the north and then carries as a border between the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso and Rondônia and the ostbolivianischen departments of Santa Cruz and Beni the double name Guaporé / Iténez before it opens at Sorpresa in the Río Mamoré.
