Guarapiranga River

The Rio Guarapiranga is a river in the southern Brazilian city of São Paulo in the same state. Together with the Rio Grande, he forms the Pinheiros River, a tributary of the Rio Tietê. Just before the confluence of the two rivers is the Rio Guarapiranga to Guarapiranga Reservoir ( Guarapiranga ), a major drinking water reservoir in the south of São Paulo dammed.

In the lower reaches of the river are some factories in the metal industry and residential areas of the lower middle class and subclass.
