Guido Mantega

Guido Mantega ( born April 7, 1949 in Genoa, Italy) is a Brazilian politician and economist.

Life

Mantega studied at the University of São Paulo economics. After graduating, he got a job as a university lecturer at various universities in São Paulo. He is a member of the Brazilian Partido dos Trabalhadores. Since 27 March 2006, he is Minister of Finance in Brazil in the government cabinets of Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Dilma Rousseff.
