Guillaume Logiest

Guillaume Logiest (also called Guy Logiest; * 1912) was from 11 November 1959 to January 1960 special military resident of Belgium, then high until the independence of the country representative of Belgium in Rwanda. He was instrumental in helping that Belgium no longer favored the Tutsi, but went over to a policy of favoring the Hutu. Beginning of 1960, replaced Logiest all Tutsi chiefs by Hutu chiefs.
