Guillotine is a card game that is published by Wizards of the Coast for the first time in 1998. 2002, a German version appeared in Amigo.

The playset consists of a guillotine, needle 50 cards and 60 Action cards. The game is recommended for 2 to 5 players, ages 12 .

The aim of the game is to behead as many nobles during the French Revolution. Each needle map are different plus and minus points. In the end, the points are added up and the player with the most points wins the game. A game consists of three days ( rounds).

At the beginning of the game the nobility and action cards are shuffled separately. Each player is dealt five cards face down action on the hand and twelve nobles cards are dealt face up on the table. A player puts the top of the range determined by the set up of the guillotine. The player with the longest neck begins the first day and decides whether he plays off an action card or immediately heads a nobleman. Since the player must head the nobles directly from the guillotine he can with an action map to change the order of the nobles to prevent the he must draw negative points. With certain action cards that he bears before him, he can increase his score at the end of the game, or by cards that he bears before the players reduce their score. In addition, the nobles of other players can be taken again by action cards, bringing new nobles in the series, another player being harassed because of his train or action cards can be obtained from other players. After he has either an action card is played or waived, he heads the foremost nobles. Some nobles draw certain actions upon themselves. It may e.g. happen that the next nobles also needs to be beheaded in the series, additional action cards are received or the next player is influenced in his choices. The players count their points and the player with the most points wins the game.
