Guilt Machine

Guilt Machine is a music project of the Dutch musician Arjen Lucassen.

Formation

End of February 2009 announced on its website Arjen another musical side project - next Ambeon and Star One - to have planned. In early March, he urged his fans to submit scraps of language in one's native language and in the form of short audio messages that rotate content by strong emotions such as anger or fear. These samples can be heard on the album at the beginning of each piece.

Arjen announced in May that the album " On This Perfect Day " appears on Mascot Records. The publication in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on 28 September 2009, the rest of Europe on August 31 and in the U.S. on September 29. Tungsten Ehrhardt of the Baby Blue Pages likened the album with Porcupine Tree - whose former drummer playing at Guilt Machine - and leads the background of the emergence of the project on health and personal problems of Lucassen back.

Style

Arjen Lucassen describes the style of his project as a " dark and heavy to atmospheric and melancholic ." Guilt Machine has nothing, like most other projects Arjen's to do with science fiction or fantasy, but refers to guilt, remorse and the " darkest form of secrets - the secrets we hide from ourselves."
