Gum (crater)

Gum is an impact crater extreme south-eastern limb of the Moon front, on the eastern edge of the Mare Australe, northeast of the crater Hamilton and northwest of Jenner. The crater is largely flooded by lavas of Mare, leaving only a remnant of the crater rim is visible.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1970 after the Australian astronomer Colin Stanley Gum.
