Gunnar Gíslason

Gunnar Gíslason ( born January 4, 1961 in Akureyri ) is a former Icelandic footballer who played during his career in Iceland, Sweden and Norway, but also a year in Germany for VfL Osnabrück. He is also 50 times for national team.

Career

Gíslason, which was used in defensive midfield and in defense, his footballer career began at the Icelandic club KA Akureyri. In 1983 he moved to VfL Osnabrück in the 2nd Bundesliga in Germany. There Gislason did not come to the course, but completed only 5 games. Furthermore, at that time strongly tapered Osnabrück team dismounted. Gislason then moved back to Iceland to KR Reykjavík. It was followed by a move to Norway, for FK Moss. He also was only a guest appearance, and finally went to the Swedish club BK Hacken. In 1992 he returned to the KR Reykjavik and then to change after one season back to BK Hacken. There, he finished his career in 1993.

National

Gíslason denied 1982-1991 a total of 50 A- international matches for his country and scored three goals.
