Gunnar Meland
Gunnar Meland is a Norwegian curler.
His international debut was Meland in the World Cup 1976 in Duluth, but he remained without a medal. In the same year he won at the European Championships in West Berlin with the silver medal his first precious metal.
Meland was substitute the Norwegian team at the XV. Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 in Curling. The team of Skip Eigil Ramsfjell won the Olympic gold medal after a 10-2 victory in the final against Switzerland to Skip Hansjörg Lips. Since curling was still a demonstration sport, the medal has no official status.
