Gunnfríður Jónsdóttir

Gunnfríður Jónsdóttir (* December 26, 1889 in Iceland, † May 15, 1968 in Reykjavík ) was an Icelandic sculptor.

Life

Gunnfríður Jónsdóttir was a daughter of Halldóra Einarsdóttir André sonar and Jón Jónsson. Her grandfather was the poet Einar Andrésson - he was suspected of witchcraft zubetreiben.

She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Stockholm in the sculptor Carl Milles. Was between 1924-1940 Gunnfríður Jónsdóttir with the sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson ( 1893-1982 ) married, the marriage remained childless.
