Günter Asser

Günter Asser ( born February 26, 1926 in Berlin) is professor emeritus of mathematics and logic at the University of Greifswald.

He has published numerous books about philosophers and mathematicians. His own research was in logic and computability theory. he founded in 1954 with Karl Schröter the "Journal of Mathematical Logic and the Foundations of Mathematics". In 1975 he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in bronze.
