Günter Platzek

Günter Platzek ( born July 18, 1930 in Hannover, † November 29, 1990 in Hamburg ) was a German musician in the field of popular music.

Life

As a high school graduate to Platzek was attracted to jazz. He played in several formations piano and collected incidentally experience on other instruments. The prerequisite for admission to a band once was, that he had to play vibraphone. Spontaneously, he bought one and first specialized in it. Own compositions came to modern and could be at most as soloists in the Jochen -Ment quintet, but not in the dance bands, for which he was also active. He found his way back to the piano, but also served the meantime Hammond organ and accordion.
