Günter Reich

Günther ( Günter ) Empire ( born November 22, 1921 in Legnica, Legnica today; † January 15, 1989 in Heidelberg ) was a German -Israeli baritone who, above all, as an interpreter of the works of Arnold Schoenberg in cooperation with Michael Gielen and Pierre Boulez is known ( Moses und Aron, Kol Nidre, A Survivor from Warsaw).

Reich came from a Jewish family. 1934 left this Nazi Germany and settled in Palestine. After the Second World War and the creation of the State of Israel kingdom initially operated in different ways, without overly concentrate on the singing.
