Günter Seibold

Günter Seibold (* December 11, 1936, † June 20, 2013 ) was a German football player.

Career

The left-back began his career at SpVgg Cannstatt. After Seibold 1958 moved to VfB Stuttgart, he ran after a few months in the cup final against Fortuna Dusseldorf, where she won with VfB the DFB Cup. The first competitive match for VfB graduated from the reliable defender already on 25 June 1958. He won with the 'Reds' 2-1 in Mannheim to Schweinfurt 05 South German Cup and Stuttgart was qualified for the semi-finals of the DFB Cup. In the Oberliga Süd Seibold debuted on matchday third round of the 1958/59, on 31 August 1958 in the 0-4 home defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt. On broadcast 1958/59, on 20 May 1959 he ran together with Friedel Rausch from Meidericher SV in Krakow in the jersey of the German junior national team U 23 during match against Poland. With the catch-up game on May 5 in 1963 under Kickers Offenbach ended the chapter Football Oberliga Süd. Together with Hans Eisele Seibold had come in the last game of the league year in all 30 games under coach Kurt Baluses used.

In the Oberliga Süd Seibold came from 1958 to 1963 with the Stuttgart on a total of 122 games in which he scored a goal. Seibold belongs to the circle of players who, on 24 August 1963 were as active on the field at Debüttag the Bundesliga. He lost the opening match 0-2 goals at FC Schalke 04

In the Bundesliga, he completed 1963-1968 133 games for Stuttgart, scoring 2 goals. The last Bundesliga game Seibold completed on March 30, 1968 in a 4-1 home win against Alemannia Aachen. The VfB defense was occupied with the players Günter Savitsky, Hans Eisele, Theodor Hoffmann, Gerd Seibold and Menne it. In the Fairs Cup, he had been active from 1964 to 1966 in five matches against Odense, Dunfermline and Burnley.

1969 he moved to SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg; in the 1970/71 season he was player-coach at SV Rehnenhof.
