Guntram Wolf

Guntram Wolf ( born March 25, 1935 in Kronach, † February 4, 2013 ) was a German instrument maker and a specialist in the restoration of historical woodwind instruments. He was one of the leading manufacturers of woodwind instruments.

Biography

Wolf studied after high school in his hometown, first at the University of Munich Ancient Near Eastern archeology, and then switched to the teaching profession. The secondary school teacher of history, English and biology worked in the school orchestra as oboist.

In his spare time, Wolf, who was bassoon player since his youth employed, with the development of instruments and the reproduction of historical woodwind instruments.
