Gus Hutchison

Gus Hutchison ( born April 26, 1937 in Atlanta ) is a retired American race car driver.

The amateur racer won the 1967 U.S. Formula B championship on a Lotus 41B. At the end of the year 1969 he bought the Brabham BT26, with which the Belgian Jacky Ickx had denied the entire Formula 1 season. With this car he drove in 1970 a complete SCCA Continental season and took with it at the U.S. Grand Prix in part. The race he was forced to retire early because he lost the mounted auxiliary tank for the long distance.

In the early 1970s, Hutchison drove Formula 5000 race with vehicles of Lola and March and then retired from racing.
