Guster

Guster is a rock band that originally in Boston, Massachusetts (United States) by members Ryan Miller ( guitar, vocals), Adam Gardner (guitar, vocals) and Brian Rosenworcel (drums) was founded.

Band History

The band members met during their first semester at Tufts University in 1991 know. A year later, after a few songs were written, calling the band " Gus" and booked her first appearance. They took 1994 her first album Parachute on their own, while they were still going to college. Shortly after the release of the album signed another artist by the name of Gus a record contract with a major label, which is why the band changed its name to Guster. In 1996 the band recorded their second album Goldfly again self-directed, which appeared at the beginning of the following year. In 1998, she signed a recording contract with the label Sire Records and re-released Goldfly. A year later published Guster Album Lost And Gone Forever, which was produced by Steve Lillywhite.

With the label in the back, they managed to perform in late-night shows like David Letterman. In addition, they release their first video Fa Fa from the album Lost and Gone Forever. The band released their fourth album Keep It Together in 2003 with Amsterdam, the first single, which was on the radio regularly. 2004 was followed by the first live album Guster On Ice with recordings of the performances in Portland, Maine in December 2003.

Guster be characterized quite often in the past two years based on the choice of instruments: two members playing acoustic guitar and a drum set. The special feature is that Brian Rosenworcel, the drummer of the band, to the design of the songs used only percussion and this plays with his bare hands. Since Ganging Up On the Sun Brian plays percussion, and now the classic percussion, which is played with sticks.
