Sire Records

Sire Records is an American record label. The company was founded in 1966 by Seymour Stein and Richard Gottehrer. Sire is now part of the Warner Music Group.

The label is home to famous bands such as HIM, Ramones, Against Me!, The Veronicas, Mandy Moore, The Smiths, Talking Heads, Dinosaur Jr., Soft Cell, The Distillers, The Von Bondies, Less Than Jake and ex -Beach- Boy Brian Wilson and Michael Davidson. Even Madonna had her first recording contract with Sire 1982. Likewise, Depeche Mode were career - start to the year here in 2008 under contract.
