Guy Chambefort

Guy Chambefort (born 19 October 1944 Saint- Étienne ) is a French politician. He is the National Assembly since 2007 deputy.

Chambefort studied at the École Nationale d' Ingénieurs (National Engineering School ) in Saint- Étienne. After his military service he rendered in the Air Force, he worked as a teacher of mechanical engineering in Yzeure. In 1973, he joined the Socialist Party. For this he moved in 1977 to the City Council of Yzeure one. After he was elected deputy in 1983 already, he obtained in 1989 the post of the mayor. In addition, he was elected to the General Council of the department of Allier in 1985. In the 2007 elections he was elected in the first district of the department of Allier in the National Assembly, after which he retired from the General Council. In 2012 he was re-elected with 57.6 % in the second round as a deputy.
