Guy Gaucher

Guy Étienne Germain Gaucher OCD ( born March 5, 1930 in Tournan -en- Brie, Seine- et- Marne, France) is a retired auxiliary bishop of Bayeux.

Life

Guy Gaucher received on 17 March 1963, the priesthood and put the profession in the Congregation of the Discalced Carmelites on 3 October in 1968.

Pope John Paul II appointed him on 27 August 1986 the Bishop of Meaux. The episcopal ordination donates him the Archbishop of Paris, Cardinal Jean-Marie Lustiger, on 19 October of the same year; Were co-consecrators Louis Kuehn, emeritus bishop of Meaux, and Yves -Marie -Henri Bescond, Auxiliary Bishop of Meaux.

On 7 May 1987 he was appointed titular bishop of John Paul II Rota and Auxiliary Bishop of Bayeux. On 1 July 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. its age-related resignation.
