Guy L. Moser

Guy Louis Moser (born 23 January 1886 in Amity, Berks County, Pennsylvania, † May 9, 1961 in Reading, Pennsylvania ) was an American politician. Between 1937 and 1943 he represented the State of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Guy Moser attended the public schools of his home and then the Keystone State Teachers ' College in Kutztown. Between 1898 and 1904 he worked as a painter and decorator. In the years 1903 and 1904 he taught as a teacher in his home town of Amity. From 1904 to 1914 he was employed by the railway mail. After that, he was 1914-1926 postal inspector. Finally, he held from 1926 to 1931 in Philadelphia in the investment banking industry. Later he worked in agriculture. Politically, Moser joined the Democratic Party. In the years 1932 and 1934 he strove unsuccessfully to their nomination for the respective congressional elections.

In the congressional elections of 1936, Moser was but then in the 14th Election District of Pennsylvania in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he became the successor of William Emanuel Richardson on January 3, 1937. After two re- election he was able to complete in Congress until January 3, 1943 three legislative periods. Since 1941 he was chairman of the Committee on Census. 1942 Moser was not set up by his party for re-election. In the years 1944, 1948 and 1950 he unsuccessfully sought the Democratic nomination for the respective congressional elections. Otherwise, he worked in agriculture; He also gave public lectures. He died on 9 May 1961 in Reading.
