Guy Rolfe

Guy Rolfe (actually Arthur Edwin Rolfe; * December 27, 1911 in Kilburn (London ), † 19 October 2003 in Los Angeles ) was a British actor.

Rolfe, who was in the 1940s, the heyday of the British film starring roles, was in the 1990s, later by the film series about the Puppet Master bestowed fame.

Life

He tried to do after high school, first as a boxer and racers before the 1936 drama turned to. The tall actor with serious facial features could be seen (after two small rolls ) from 1947 in the main roles, and from the mid-1950s in character roles. He was employed in a variety of genres, from thrillers to romances historical films; He starred alongside Elizabeth Taylor, Tyrone Power, Joan Fontaine and Charles Laughton.

Later he was able to gain cult status through his work in horror movies in fan circles.

He lived many years in Spain and was childless with his fellow Jane Aird ( until her death in 1993) and Margaret Allworthy married ( until his death).
