Guy Teissier
Guy Teissier ( born April 4, 1945 in Marseille ) is a French politician. He was briefly in 1988 and is since 1993 Member of the National Assembly.
Political career
In his youth Teissier was a member of the far-right movement Occident, with the participation of politicians such as Alain Madelin and Gérard Longuet attended. After studying law Teissier was first junior notary. In 1982, he moved into the General Council of Bouches -du -Rhône for the Canton mazargues. The following year he was also elected to the City Council and was mayor of the 9th and 10th arrondissements of the city. In June 1988, he successfully ran for the National Assembly. His mandate was, however, declared on 26 November of the same year by the Constitutional Council invalidated and Teissier had the National Assembly in favor of Bernard Tapie leave. Teissier is married and father of two children. He was awarded the Ordre national du Mérite on the rank of knight. He is also a carrier of the René Cassin Medal. In addition to his political activities, he is president of an advocacy group for the Calanques near Marseille, has been declared a National Park in 2011.
