Guy van Waas

Guy van Waas (* 1948 in Molenbeek ( Brussels) ) is a Belgian conductor, clarinetist and organist.

Life and work

Guy van Waas studied at the conservatories of Brussels and Mons ( harpsichord with Robert Kohnen ), at Walter Weller at the Salzburg Mozarteum, he studied orchestral conducting. He had first positions as principal clarinetist at the Brussels opera house La Monnaie and 1977-1991 when resolved at this time of the RTBF Symphony Orchestra, the French-speaking Belgian broadcasting.
