Guyancourt

Guyancourt is a commune with 28 245 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Yvelines department in the Île- de -France region. It forms a part of the newly created Ville nouvelle Saint- Quentin -en- Yvelines, which was converted into a Communauté d' agglomà in 2004.

Geography

Guyancourt lies to the east of Yvelines, about 30 kilometers southwest of Paris.

The neighboring communities are Versailles in the northeast, Buc in the east, Château Fort in the southeast, Magny -les- Hameau in the south, Voisins -le- Bretonneux in the southwest, Montigny -le- Bretonneux in the west and Saint- Cyr- l'École in the northwest.

The city center extends around the church of Saint -Victor, as the farmhouses Bel- Ebat and Châteauneuf.
