Gyaltsab

Gyeltshab (also: Gyaltshab, Gyaltsab, Gyaltsap; Tib. rgyal tshab ) is a title for a Tibetan regent. Known Gyeltshabs are:

  • The Gyeltshab, honorary title of second Ganden Thripa ( 1364-1432 )
  • Gyeltshab Rinpoche, including the title of the fifth Radreng Rinpoche ( 1911/1912-1947 )
  • Shechen Gyeltshab, title Trülku a line of Shechen tradition
  • Tshurphu Gyeltshab, Trülku line of the Karma Kagyu monastery in Tshurphu
