György Kósa

György Kosa [ ɟørɟ ko ː ʃɒ ] ( born April 24, 1897 in Budapest, † August 16, 1984 ) was a Hungarian composer.

Kosa studied from 1905 to 1916 at Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Victor von Herzfeld. Since 1927, he led a piano class at the Budapest Conservatory.

He composed nine operas, ballets and four music for four mimes, nine symphonies and an orchestral suite, chamber works, eleven oratorios, cantatas, several, a fair, a Dies irae, Requiem and two songs.
