György Kulin
György Kulin ( born January 28, 1905 in Nagyszalonta, † April 22, 1989 in Budapest) was a Hungarian astronomer.
He discovered a total of 21 asteroids and comets C/1942 is co-discoverer of C1 ( Whipple - Bernasconi- Kulin ). The asteroid of the main belt ( 3019 ) Kulin was discovered by him on January 7, 1940 at the Konkoly Observatory in Budapest.
Kulin was a promoter of amateur astronomy and founded in 1946, the Magyar Csillagászati Egyesülete (Hungarian Astronomical Society ), which was dissolved in 1949. Kulin lived to see their re- establishment on 19 February 1989.
Kulin wrote science fiction literature.
