Haddas River

The Haddas (also Hadas ) is a periodic flow in Eritrea in the region Semienawi red sea region.

Geography

The Haddas rises in the mountains south of the city Adi Keyh in the region of Debub. It flows north and joins in the milking level with the Alighede. Shortly thereafter rivers flow Saato and Comaile. The Haddas finally flows into a small delta near the town of Zula into the Red Sea.

Hydrology

The river flows only a few months a year. Only during the rainy season in the summer months from July to August, he conducts regular water.

History

There are suspicions that it is the ancient trading city Adulis at the ruins at Haddas.
