Hair clipper

A hair clipper, called for use on animals and shearing machine, is a device for cutting hair.

It consists of the actual cutting tools and a manual or electric drive.

Construction

As cutting tools two comb-like blades are used, of which the lower one, facing the skin is fixed, while the upper against this cross is moved back and forth. The lower blade has rounded fork tips and is opposite the upper moved forward a little, in order to avoid injury to the skin. On some devices, you can offset this by a lateral lever during operation vary. Through this stepwise adjustable length setting of the cut distance of 1/20 mm, 1 /10 mm and 1 and 3 mm are usually possible variations. In addition, plugged or adjustable spacer combs, also called combs, allow a precise observance of the remaining hair length. The minimum length of paused hair is due to the thickness of the lower knife. In general, these combs made of plastic, which makes them very easy. On a hair clipper, such a comb attached, by setting up it on the blade device of the apparatus and locked. The default setting of cutting a few millimeters can be varied as desired in this way. The pitch of the blade combs is slightly different, so not all come at the same time cut for engagement.

The drive is either a pliers-type lever, an electric motor with an eccentric or a rocker armature drive. The actuator can be a part of the hand instrument ( together with the power supply ) and carried out in high-performance devices of articulated or flexible shafts. It is also possible that a plurality of handheld devices are powered by a power source by means of transmission means.
